Full Time Founded in 1999, Rimrock Capital Management, LLC is a SEC-registered investment adviser focused on multi-sector, hedged fixed income strategies, located in Irvine, CA. The firm has approximately $2.5 billion in assets under management and a team of approximately 30 employees. We work as a close-knit team and build strong long-term partnerships with both our investors and our employees. We have an excellent opportunity for an Operations / Investor Relations Analyst. This position requires an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual who is eager to embrace AI and learn all aspects of the post-trade investment management process. This is an entry-level position with direct exposure to investor relations, operations, fixed income, derivatives, and marketing functions within a hedge fund environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Relations:
Work with existing and new clients on the onboarding and offboarding process Coordinate with the administrator on OFAC and KYC requirements Maintain Backstop CRM with client demographics and investor information Assist with month-end and quarter-end client reporting Prepare ad hoc presentations and materials for client meetings
Operations:
Confirm and book trades into accounting and risk software Utilize Bloomberg information to establish and maintain security masters for instruments, including CMOs, derivatives, futures, and repos Process corporate actions, including factor updates and coordinating with portfolio managers on calls and maturities Review and reconcile daily bank activity and resolve transaction exceptions Oversee administrator processes and assist with the monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) process to ensure accuracy of client statements Liaise with cross-functional teams, including operations, compliance, and risk, to identify and analyze discrepancies between internal and external records Assist with collateral management and treasury functions
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree required 0-4 years of experience in finance, operations, or investor relations preferred, but not required Exposure to Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, initiative, and organizational skills Self-motivated, responsible, and adaptable with strong critical thinking abilities Willingness to embrace AI tools, including Claude AI, to automate and improve existing processes Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Professional demeanor with a strong sense of integrity and accountability
