The Naval Power Portfolio is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Program Controls Analyst to join the Naval Power Directorate. This role offers a significant growth opportunity for an ambitious individual to work closely with program leadership, including Program Managers, technical leaders, and functional support teams. The Financial Program Controls Analyst will play a critical role in the setup and execution of multiple contracts. Key responsibilities include providing essential financial oversight and guidance to ensure program success. In this role, you will collaborate with a group of internal and external customers, gaining exposure to multiple facets of finance and the broader organization. What You Will Do Providing critical financial oversight and guidance for the contracts they maintain. Partnership with Program Management and cross functional leads to support program execution. Support of all programs financial aspects including financial planning (LRP, AOP, Working Capital, Monthly Financial Performance Reporting, Variance Analysis, Data Review and Reporting and NBI). Program controls such as developing estimates at complete (EACs) and execution of EVM. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience Experience and understanding of the program business role, SAP, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and/or experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) concepts. Experience with computer/Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). An active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer Strong customer focus, attention to detail and quality work. Experience in a matrix environment. Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines. Ability to drive change and influence beyond authority level. Experience in organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to management and peers. Experience interpreting and analyzing financial data. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) when interfacing with all levels of the company. Experience managing multiple DoD contracts. Experience in using SAP Business Systems
