Full-time SCOPE:
The Senior Asset Manager reporting to the VP of Asse t will be an integral leader on the asset management team. The role is responsible for managing success of a large portfolio of assets and optimizing value. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' proven experience in residential real estate and be able to lead others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Performance. Develop, execute, and refine multi-year business plans. Drive NOI growth through strategies related to rent, CAM-type charges, ancillary income, expense control, etc. Evaluate and prioritize high-spend capex, such as major infrastructure upgrades, amenity improvements, etc. Partnership. Act as the primary strategic partner to Operations / Property Management leadership. Lead KPI-based discussions and manage Watch List of any communities falling behind targets. Maintain several key external vendor relationships, including lenders, national vendors, tax consultants, etc. Financial Analysis. Oversee value-add oriented financial analysis to recommend actions to senior leadership. Oversee loan maturity and debt analysis, including ad hoc analysis such as defeasance. Oversee real estate tax valuations and charges, including tax appeals with third parties. Support processes for financing, refinancing, appraisals, etc. Maintain awareness of macroeconomic and local market trends. Acquisitions. Support due diligence, business planning, and post-closing execution. Leadership. Mentor and develop Asset Manager(s) and Analyst(s). Ad Hoc. Other projects and assignments as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, or similar field Minimum 10 years of experience, majority in real estate and/or Asset Management Highly proficient in achieving results and independently assessing opportunities. Demonstrated ability to lead others, meet deadlines, synthesize takeaways. Highest level of personal and professional integrity Excellent written communication skills
