The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role within the Financial Analytics team. This position will be heavily involved in developing financial models and extracting valuable information from large data sources used to drive strategic business decisions. This role will also assist with analyzing payment and retention trends for each product line and calculating and reporting life-time value (LTV), persistency, pay-up rate, and other key performance indicators for the Executive team and Board. The role will also be responsible for transforming and automating processes and creating a reporting repository within the Company data visualization platform (DOMO).
Duties/Responsibilities:
Extract, merge and analyze sales and collections data from various disparate databases Prepare and present reporting on actual results across a variety of key performance indicators for the largest and fastest-growing business line Migrate key reports from Excel to DOMO and educate end-users on how to extract data through cards/links Identify trends and investigate, research and resolve data anomalies Calculate and report life-time commission revenue values (LTV) by product line, sales rep, lead source and other key and emerging variables Build collections waterfall analyses and revenue proof documentation as part of the monthly financial close process Assist CFO and CAO in explaining all key reporting to the external auditors, management team and Board Analyze carrier contracts vs. payments received to ensure HPOne is receiving accurate commissions Build and maintain policy reconciliation trackers based on analysis of payment history within SQL Finance database, carrier updates and portal extracts Work closely with the Support and Carrier Relations departments to help resolve unpaid policies, ensuring that the Company receives all commission revenue it is due Actively participate in weekly Executive Finance sessions with the CFO, CAO and other team members to review priorities and progress Ad-hoc reporting as requested Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics or related field 3-5 years' experience with 1-2 years as a senior financial analyst Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced) Strong planning and analytical skills with attention to detail Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, DOMO) Experience with
