Senior Operations & Junior Trader Investment Operations Trading Execution Portfolio Implementation Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Operations & Junior Trader to join our team at our . This hybrid role sits at the intersection of trading, portfolio implementation, and operational oversight, offering direct exposure to portfolio managers, analysts, and counterparties. The ideal candidate brings strong operational expertise with experience in a trading role. Key ResponsibilitiesTrading & Execution
  • Execute equity trades across active and passive portfolios on multiple institutional platforms, including Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, and other approved broker-dealer systems.
  • Conduct due diligence on existing and prospective broker relationships, evaluating execution quality, commission rates, financial stability, and regulatory standing.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with broker utilization requirements, tracking activity and preparing required reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Manage and cultivate broker relationships; liaise with counterparties to source liquidity, negotiate terms, and ensure best execution practices.
  • Monitor real-time market activity, liquidity conditions, and trade flow to support efficient and timely execution.
  • Ensure accurate trade booking, allocation, and confirmation across all platforms and portfolios. Operations & Middle Office
  • Manage client onboarding, cash flows, portfolio rebalancing, index tracking, and cash equitization.
  • Oversee daily trade reconciliation and proactively resolve breaks with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties.
  • Monitor portfolio exposures, cash levels, and adherence to investment guidelines on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate settlement processes across multiple custodians and ensure operational accuracy throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Maintain data integrity across trading, portfolio management, and accounting platforms (e.g., SS&C Advent, Liquidity Book).
  • Drive workflow improvements and contribute to automation and process optimization initiatives.
  • Assist in managing corporate actions, dividends, and benchmark index changes across portfolios. Client Reporting & Service
  • Review and validate portfolio and composite performance results to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and GIPS standards.
  • Prepare and deliver client reporting deliverables, including trading activity summaries and
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including portfolio management, compliance, and client services—to address client-related operational inquiries.
  • Collaborate with client service and marketing on client onboarding and reporting.
Risk, Compliance & Controls Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, compliance policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Assist in pre- and post-trade compliance monitoring, including guideline checks and restricted securities reviews. Support broker due diligence reviews and maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with firm policies. Identify operational risks, escalate issues appropriately, and recommend process improvements to strengthen controls. Qualifications 3-7 years of experience in trading support, operations, or middle office within an asset management firm. Demonstrated exposure to Global equities and fixed income. Familiarity with both active and passive (index) strategies is a plus. Solid understanding of the full trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and reconciliation procedures. Hands-on experience with accounting platforms such as SS&C Advent. Proficiency with OMS/EMS platforms (e.g., Liquidity Book); experience with multi-platform trading environments (Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, or similar) is strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills:
