Job Description

Job Description Nordstrom is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Supply Chain Finance team, leading financial strategy, and support for Supply Chain Operations. This hybrid role will be based at one of our regional fulfillment centers (Riverside, CA), with the expectation of regular on-site presence serving as a key finance business partner to Supply Chain Operations leadership. The ideal candidate brings strategic acumen to drive meaningful outcomes in a complex and fast-moving supply chain environment. •This role is Hybrid and will require you to be on-site at our fulfillment center in Riverside, CA 4 days per week. A Day in the Life… Lead end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes, including reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis for Supply Chain Operations and related Supply Chain functions. Develop and deliver insightful performance narratives that connect financial results to operational drivers, risks, and future trends. Own and continuously enhance strategic planning and rolling forecast models, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long-term objectives. Partner closely with, Operations and Supply Chain leadership to build annual budgets, evaluate trade-offs, and support resource allocation decisions. Function as a primary finance advisor to on-site leaders, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. Build and maintain advanced financial models leveraging multiple data sources to assess cost drivers, productivity, service levels, and ROI on key initiatives. Support the identification, sizing, prioritization, and measurement of efficiency and optimization initiatives, including labor cost reduction, network improvements, and automation opportunities. Champion process improvement and automation, streamlining reporting and planning workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability. Proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities, providing scenario analysis and decision support in a dynamic operating environment. Lead and contribute to ad hoc analyses, business cases, and special projects tied to strategic investments and enterprise priorities. You Own This If You Have… 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, or Analytics, with exposure to Supply Chain, Operations (Distribution or Fulfillment Center), strongly preferred. A BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus). Proven ability to deliver high-impact financial analysis and modeling, with a strong focus on business outcomes. Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisions through data, insight, and clear communication. Strong technical and analytical skillset, including advanced Excel and experience with modern FP&A, BI, and data tools such as Anaplan, Hyperion/Essbase, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Cognos, SQL, or similar platforms. Experience improving or automating financial processes, dashboards, or planning models in a demanding environment. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and operate with a high degree of independence. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to both financial and non-financial audiences. High mindfulness, commitment to data integrity, and comfort operating in a collaborative, evolving environment. Pay Range Details The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
