Essential Duties and Responsibilities Apply and analyze accounting principles, practices, and procedures as they relate to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) to influence and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders; Assist in preparation of SRNS's Cost Accounting Standard Board (CASB) Disclosure Statement; Assist with preparation and analysis of the Incurred Cost Submission; Function at an advanced level by planning, organizing, and coordinating; Government Compliance activities to meet established objectives and schedules; Maintain an effective level of communication with internal and external customers such as DOE/NNSA, various Government Auditors, SRNS Management, and Internal; Audit on financial matters; Identify and recommend process improvement activities; Participate in working groups and/or department/cross functional organization-wide projects; project planning, defining user requirements. May represent the department in external working groups; and General Accounting Responsibilities as determined by the CFO organization Education and Licensure Master's degree in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area and at least 15 years of practical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area and at least 18 years of practical experience; or an associate's degree and at least 20 years of practical experience or; a high school diploma and at least 22 years of relevant experience would also be considered equivalent. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship. (required) Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance. Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required) Expert-level working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proven experience negotiating complex FAR and CAS issues with government agencies. Previous experience working with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Government Accountability Office (GAO), Office of Inspector General (OIG), or other similar government auditing entities. Possesses strong personal computer skills. Requires expert proficiency in the use of automated accounting, cost management, scheduling and estimating systems as tools for performing required duties. Possesses considerable practical experience in the use of the Site Business systems. Please note that marijuana remains a Schedule III controlled substance under Federal Law. Federal contractors must follow Federal drug-free workplace rules, which prohibit marijuana use, even if medical or recreational use is permitted under State Law. Preferred Qualifications and Location Details 8+ years of government contractor accounting compliance experience Aiken, SC - 100% onsite position. Local candidate or willing to relocate at own expense. 6-month base contract with two additional 6-month option periods. Part-time position. Mon-Thurs 7:00a-4:00p hours subjected to change.
