Exempt SUMMARY The Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy. Partners with stakeholders to provide input and guidance on business issues and to provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the line(s) of business. Conducts and documents financial analysis projects, data gathering, manipulation, summarization and analysis off financial reports, sales activity, trends, and opportunities.

FLSA CLASSIFICATION
This position is classified Exempt. Wages are paid based on a 45-hour work week. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required. Two years of professional experience as an accountant or auditor. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be comfortable with using Email, Spreadsheet, Smartsheet and Word Processing software.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. .
  • Analyses business and financial data.
  • Creates financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
  • Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
  • Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
  • Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
  • Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Gathers and processes data to support business analysis and cost/revenue driver reporting Perform financial modeling to support key business decisions Researches, analyzes, and synthesizes data from multiple sources into business information as directed and by self-identification of business information needs Present findings through building dashboards/visualizations to leadership Provides accounting with monthly reports and reconciliations needed for month end close process Performs ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business requests Supports business in forecasting and budgeting process Engage effectively with cross-functional teams to test hypotheses and validate recommendations Collaborate in-person with all levels of the organization to harness collective intelligence of the workforce. Attend all in-person meetings and trainings on recent developments, goals, and objectives. Participate in such discussions by offering input and advice.
  • Assists in the development of the company's overall budget document, and at the departmental level, providing advice and analysis to increase the efficiency of the company's spending.
  • Assists in the creation and further development of the revenue manual, budget preparation manual, budget policies and procedures manual, and other documents as needed.
  • Creates monthly sales tax reports for the board of directors; assists with or produces other reports as requested.
  • Assists budget manager by conducting various surveys, research, data analysis, cost-benefit analyses, and expenditure and revenue forecasting.
  • Assists with projecting future financial needs and collaborates with budget manager and other management personnel to prepare long-term financial plans, and other budget and financial reports.
  • Makes recommendations to improve company's fiscal efficiency based on interpretation and organization of financial information.
  • Presents budget analysis and recommendations to upper-level management at the beginning of each budgetary cycle.
  • Develops, organizes, and maintains files, documents, and materials relating to budgetary practices according to company's policies.
  • Executes transactions within the integrated budget, accounting, and purchasing system, which may include purchase requisitions, contract payment vouchers, budget data entry, appropriation revisions, and salary and budget imports.
  • Oversees and compares departmental expenditures to original budget.
  • Attends and actively participates in committees, professional groups, and seminars to stay current regarding new developments and trends in budgeting and finance.
  • Monitors changes in the local, state, and federal tax laws, and actively monitors the local economy.
  • Provides information and answers to departments regarding budgets, forecasts, surveys, financial trends, and other requested data.
