Job Description
Description Our growing, private equity owned client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Nashville, Tennessee (onsite). In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in monitoring business performance, driving profitability, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with various departments, deliver impactful insights, and contribute to the organization's growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations to enhance performance and mitigate risks in collaboration with operational teams.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to uncover drivers, solve business challenges, and implement data-driven strategies that improve financial outcomes.
- Review the performance of health plan arrangements by geography and contract to identify strategic opportunities.
- Provide senior management and business leaders with decision support by synthesizing complex financial, operational, and clinical data into actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate strategic contracts, initiatives, and partnerships by developing underwriting cases, monitoring results, and assessing program success.
- Research healthcare delivery topics, analyze data, and propose solutions to address business challenges using critical thinking and industry expertise.
- Collaborate across finance, accounting, operations, and other departments to ensure transparency of results and develop strategies for improvement.
- Present structured analytical findings in a clear and visual manner to communicate meaningful and actionable insights. Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Power BI and SQL preferred.
- Experience as an analyst with a health plan, ACO or RBE, focused on healthcare analytics, FP& A, or medical economics
- Strong financial and business acumen, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, key performance metrics, and success drivers in value-based care or health plans.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, modeling, variance analysis, and data mining techniques.
