Sunwest strives to be a best-in-class operator that provides the highest level of service to its clients, tenants, and investors. The company manages and leases its owned DFW assets while also providing third party management and leasing services to other clients. Summary The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of a portfolio of commercial real estate assets. This position supports property accounting, cash management, tenant receivables, utility bill processing, monthly reporting, and accounts payable administration. The Accounting Analyst works closely with the Accounting Manager, Director of Finance, Property Managers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely financial information while maintaining a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders. Essential Job Responsibilities Collect and post tenant rent payments and apply tenant prepayments. Apply and post rent concession receipt batches and tenant account adjustments. Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with cash management activities. Post utility submeter charges and credits and maintain supporting documentation. Scan, save, and maintain utility bill records and accounting files. Prepare and enter utility-related journal entries and other recurring accounting entries. Administer and reconcile designated corporate credit card activity. Assist with accounts payable processing and ensure invoices are coded accurately. Enter selected vendor invoices into Avid and maintain supporting records. Support month-end close activities through timely and accurate data entry. Maintain financial records, schedules, and documentation in accordance with company policies. Coordinate with Property Management personnel to resolve tenant and vendor accounting issues. Provide administrative and analytical support to the Accounting Manager and Finance team. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Commercial Real Estate experience will be prioritized. Experience with accounting or property management software preferred (Yardi Voyager, Avid, or similar platforms). 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, property accounting, or related experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
