Job Description
U.S. Consumer Cards (USCC) Accounting is a part of the North America Controller's department and provides accounting, control, and reporting for the Consumer Credit Cards organization. Major partner relationships include The Home Depot (THD), Best Buy, Macy's, LL Bean, Dillard's, Wayfair, and numerous other smaller portfolios. The Financial Accounting Senior Analyst will report to the Financial Accounting Senior Lead Analyst for THD, Macys, Best Buy, and LL Bean portfolio activities, within USCC. This team is responsible for financial reporting, partnership reporting and control matters for the credit card portfolios. The individual in this role will work closely with others in the North America Controller's Organization including the Partner Management (PM) Team, Lead Financial Officer (LFO) Team, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team and Internal and External Auditors on matters related to financial reporting. This individual will calculate, prepare, and present portfolio revenue share payouts to key stakeholders and will be a key contact and control lead for ad hoc requests. Process of general accounting functions for partner portfolios within Consumer Credit Cards includes: Calculation of monthly revenue share and various business accruals Participate in monthly income statement reviews during month end close process and research variances Balance sheet variance analysis throughout close process Preparation of monthly partner settlement documents for partner payments Coordinate and hold monthly Partner meetings with the Business and Citi Senior Management team to go over monthly results to include revenue share calculations and variance explanations Maintain strong and well documented internal desktop manuals to include SOX compliance and control self-assessments Assist in supporting internal and external audit exams Maintain a strong understanding of the partner contractual obligations Maintain strong interactive relationship with business, FP&A team and settlement team on the partner deliverables
Qualifications:
Desired but not required: Candidate or license holder Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master's in Business Administration (MBA) Ability to communicate to senior management with clarity 5-8 years of experience in accounting managementEducation:
