Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Job Description
The Analyst / Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will assist with the budgeting and forecasting for our investment management/finserv client. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, master's degree preferred
Knowledge and experience with partnerships and consolidation is a plus
2-4 years of prior experience in financial planning & analysis or corporate finance; experience in asset management or financial services preferred
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
Willingness to work a flexible schedule required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Proficiency using Excel for financial modeling required; experience with BI or FP&A platforms (e.g., SQL, Power BI) a plus

Budget and Forecast Responsibilities 35%
Preparation of the Company's annual budget on a consolidated and stand-alone entity basis
Assist with the Company's overall quarterly financial forecasting on a consolidated and stand-alone entity basis
Assist with the Company's multi-year forecast on a consolidated and stand-along entity basis (for annual valuation of Goodwill and Intangible Assets, debt refinancing, etc.)
Preparation of month-over-month and year-over-year variance explanations to budget and to prior year for various reporting presentations
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure Analysis 30%
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators
Analyze and explain unexpected variances in key performance indicators
Prepare and analyze monthly commission calculations
Analyze department activity monthly as compared to budget and forecast
Assist with monitoring the Company's consolidated leverage and excess cash flow calculations as required by the Credit Agreements Reporting 20%
Assist with ad-hoc requests
Preparation of budget presentations for the Board of Directors on a consolidated and stand-alone entity basis
Preparation of forecast presentations for the Board of Directors on a consolidated and stand-alone entity basis
Maintain total AUM roll forwards
Assist with monitoring and fulfilling Debt Requirements
Assist in maintaining the database with historical operating information for the Company and its affiliates Process Improvement 15%
Improve and/or develop financial models to support the evolving business needs
Develop and implement procedures and use of resources to adapt to the changing business needs
Assist with driving efficiencies within the Finance department through the adoption of enhanced data technology, automation, and AI-assisted tools (e.g., AI-driven forecasting, automated variance analysis, and natural language reporting)
Support the development of data visualization dashboards and self-service reporting tools to improve access to financial insights across the organization
Strategic Support 10%
Assist the CFO and COO on ad hoc strategic projects, including analysis related to potential new business opportunities
Assist with requests from the ownership group and senior management as directed
