Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Summary:
The Junior Accountant will support the accounting team in daily financial operations and month-end close activities. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and cost accounting concepts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in Excel, with the ability to gather, review, and manage financial data and supporting documentation from multiple sources.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Review, process, and post accounts payable invoices in a timely manner
  • Maintain proper documentation and support for all financial transactions
  • Assist with inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Support cost accounting activities, including analysis of production costs and variances
  • Gather, analyze, and organize financial data from various departments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred (internship experience acceptable)
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred)
  • Experience with accounts payable processes
  • Basic knowledge of cost accounting and inventory processes
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Experience with accounting software/ERP systems is a plus
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE LANGUAGE/MATH/REASONING ABILITY
Ability to read, write, and speak English with minimal assistance from an interpreter This position requires strong math skills. Employee must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
