Senior Financial Analyst Senior Financial Analyst Position Overview We are seeking a Financial Analyst to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for our manufacturing operations. The role combines deep financial modeling and forecasting with data-driven insights delivered through Power BI and SQL to support strategic decisions, optimize costs, and drive operational performance. The ideal candidate will partner with operations and finance teams, maintain and improve financial systems (including Oracle), and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans; lead variance analysis versus prior periods and budget. Design, build, and maintain financial models and dashboards using Power BI and Excel to support decision-making and track key performance indicators (KPIs). Extract, transform, and analyze data using SQL and other reporting tools to produce timely and accurate financial reports. Perform cost analysis and margin reporting for manufacturing operations, including standard costing, product cost rollups, and cost reduction initiatives. Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial results and reconciliations in Oracle or other ERP systems. Partner with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and operations) to translate operational metrics into financial impact and identify improvement opportunities. Lead FP&A projects such as rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and what-if modeling to inform capital allocation and resource planning. Prepare clear and concise presentations for finance leadership and executive stakeholders, communicating insights, risks, and recommendations. Drive process improvements and automation of recurring financial processes to increase accuracy and efficiency. Coach and mentor junior analysts, provide technical guidance on financial tools, reporting best practices, and data governance. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance roles; experience supporting manufacturing operations strongly preferred. Proven experience with Power BI (or similar BI tools) and advanced Excel modeling skills. Strong SQL skills for data extraction, reporting, and analysis. Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (or comparable systems) including month-end close and reconciliations. Demonstrated expertise in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling. Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and operational metrics (standard cost, BOM, yields, throughput). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance audiences. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
