Accounting Analyst

Description We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our team in Sugar Land, Texas. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers excellent customer support, and maintains accuracy while managing a large volume of accounts receivable activity. The right candidate will bring strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge, and the ability to stay organized while handling collections and billing-related processes on site.

Responsibilities:

• Manage high-volume collections activities by following up on outstanding balances and working with customers to secure timely payment.
• Support accounts receivable operations through payment posting, invoice review, and resolution of account discrepancies.
• Respond to customer account inquiries professionally and provide clear updates regarding billing status, payment history, and outstanding invoices.
• Perform account reconciliations to identify variances, research issues, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with billing and other day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure transactions are processed correctly and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed documentation of collection efforts, account activity, and customer communications for reporting and audit readiness.
• Use NetSuite to review account information, track receivables, and support daily accounting workflows.
• Partner with internal teams to address payment issues, resolve disputes, and improve the overall receivables process. Requirements
• Experience in accounts receivable and collections within a high-volume business environment.
• Working knowledge of billing processes, account reconciliation, and general accounting practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders while providing strong customer service.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing financial information and account activity.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines in an onsite work setting.
• Familiarity with broader accounting functions, including exposure to accounts payable, is preferred.
