Waco, TX 76712 (100% Onsite - Non-negotiable)
Duration:
6 Months (with possibility of extension based on performance and business needs) Position Summary The Financial Analyst II will provide critical financial support to the Manufacturing Finance team at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role focuses primarily on manufacturing costing, financial forecasting, cost analysis, and operational support for various business units including Manufacturing, QA, and other site functions. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced manufacturing finance environment with minimal onboarding and contribute effectively from day one. Key Responsibilities Provide direct financial support to Drug Manufacturing and Packaging Unit Managers and other operational business units. Support the annual manufacturing cost development cycle. Develop accurate cost estimates for new products, product extensions, and new business opportunities. Support project initiatives and track accounting for cost improvement initiatives. Prepare and maintain financial forecasts including LRP, Plan, Standards, and LBE. Collaborate with Business Units to ensure alignment on planning assumptions. Support the month-end financial close process. Manage inventory items and inventory operations. Create, update, and maintain internal consolidation files for internal and corporate requirements. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business strategy and decision-making (product portfolio analysis, profitability analysis, capital analysis, etc.). Present financial data and insights in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to stakeholders. Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is strongly preferred and highly recommended. Min 3+ years of progressive experience in Manufacturing Finance, with strong emphasis on manufacturing costing in a manufacturing environment. Experience Direct experience in product costing, department-level financial support, and operational manufacturing finance is highly important. Experience with forecasting, planning cycles (LRP, Plan, Standards), and financial modeling is required. Proven ability to quickly ramp up and contribute with minimal handholding in a complex manufacturing setting. Technical Skills Advanced Excel proficiency is required (Pivot Tables, Macros, Advanced Formulas, Financial Modeling, Data Analysis & Reporting). SAP experience is strongly preferred and considered close to a requirement due to the need for immediate contribution. Strong experience with other large ERP/enterprise financial systems may be considered as a substitute. Power BI experience is a plus. Knowledge of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and costing methodologies is essential. Soft Skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively partner with operational stakeholders and business unit owners. Ability to work cross-functionally and present financial information clearly to non-finance audiences. High degree of ownership, agility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
