This will be a long term contract opportunity with our client and will report to their office in McLean. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support capital markets and mortgage finance initiatives through financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and process optimization. This role will be responsible for analyzing complex financial data, evaluating capital and profitability impacts, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities. Key Responsibilities Analyze, interpret, and present
P&L, CRT
(Credit Risk Transfer), and capital forecasting data to support strategic and operational decision-making. Conduct detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses of capital and financial results, including variance analysis, forecast validation, and assessment of financial impacts resulting from model, methodology, or data changes. Develop meaningful financial insights and visualizations that communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to business leaders and stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for financial reporting and process improvement initiatives. Support the automation and optimization of financial processes, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and aligned with business objectives. Prepare management reports, executive presentations, and ad hoc analyses to support leadership decision-making. Monitor and validate financial models, forecasts, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards. Qualifications Required Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, or a related field. 7-10 years of experience in financial analysis, finance, capital markets, or a related role within the financial services industry. Demonstrated expertise in mortgage finance, mortgage-backed securities, capital markets processes, and financial reporting. Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of capital markets, secondary mortgage markets, mortgage-backed securities, forecasting methodologies, financial instruments, and related financial data. Proven experience analyzing financial performance and assessing the impacts of model, process, and data changes on financial results. Extensive experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements for financial process automation and reporting enhancements. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate findings into actionable insights. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level presentations and effectively communicate with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details:
