The incumbent will work with other members of FAR to learn the role and complete deliverables. The incumbent is responsible for knowing and applying generally accepted accounting procedures. Assists the NAF FAR section by providing professional accounting and budgetary oversight of Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Nonappropried Funds (NAF) programs. Works in collaborion with program and support managers and Finance Branch staff to research, analyze, and resolve complex accounting, budgeting, and financial management issues. Communices with other staff members to find team-based solutions and efficiencies in financial processes. Coordines all decisions with all affected parties in advance of implemention to ensure managers are involved with and committed to implemention of new processes and procedures. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communices positively in a friendly manner. Take action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adhere to safety regulions and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupional illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immedie supervisor. Adhere to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other reled duties as assigned. Qualificions Completed a Bachelor's Degree or Master's in accounting or a reled field approprie to the work of position within the previous two years OR an approprie combinion of educion and experience th demonstres possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to th gained in the above, OR approprie experience th demonstres th the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to th gained in the above. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, accounting theories, practices, methods, and techniques to independently perform a variety of assignments and advise managers on accounting and financial mters Ability to apply principles and practices of budget formulion and knowledge of the relionship between accounting and budgeting systems. Skill in using computers, electronic communicions, and spreadsheet analysis; analyzing accounting systems or in modifying and adapting conventional accounting and analytical techniques and procedures to solve a variety of accounting problems; in ghering, assembling, consoliding and analyzing financial da and drawing conclusions and recommending work process improvements. Skill to communice effectively orally and in writing sufficient to prepare reports and guidance, provide briefings on controversial or complex topics and to establish and maintain effective relionships and collabore with various levels of management. Ability to resolve issues or problems and provide advice and assistance. Ability to take on the following responsibilities under the direct supervision of the NAF FAR Senior Manager; prepares financial analysis of all Nonappropried Fund Instrumentalities (NAFIs) and their cost centers using financial stements, budgets, historical da and personal research. Researches, analyzes, and provides routine and ad-hoc reports th summarize NAF results against budgets and historical years for program and support managers and MCCS staff. Provides standard budget execution reports to program and support managers. Performs internal financial review and special financial studies and analyses as required. Assists with completion of annual reporting requirements to internal and external stakeholders. Gains knowledge of MCCS and the financial policies th are specific to our operions.
