Financial Analysis & Controls (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Summary:

This position serves as a critical partner to the Office Engineering teams responsible for building industry-leading products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and communicating complex financial information to support strategic investment decisions and business planning. Working at the intersection of finance and cutting-edge technology, this individual will conduct quantitative analyses, develop financial forecasts, and provide actionable insights that directly influence product development and resource allocation. The position requires assembling comprehensive financial reports, interpreting data trends, and supporting key business rhythms including target planning, month-end close, and quarterly reporting. Job Responsibilities:

Assemble spreadsheets and create charts and graphs to illustrate technical reports for business partners Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for investment decision-making Interpret data affecting investment programs, including price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks Refresh and distribute weekly or bi-weekly reports to business partners with clearly identified action items Develop and maintain forecasts for organizational spend across multiple data systems Support month-end close processes and quarterly reporting requirements Conduct ad-hoc business analysis to address emerging business needs Identify and communicate trends, drivers, and variances in actual costs compared to expectations Assess how current financial performance may impact future periods

Requirements:

5-7 years of financial and/or accounting experience 5+ years of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience 5+ years of Financial Modelling experience, including advanced Excel skills 5+ years of Financial Forecasting experience Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Capability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and financial data reporting Understanding of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with related financial software
