Financial Analyst

Impact Confections is an innovative manufacturer of candies marketed under the WarHeads® and Melster Candies® brand names. WarHeads® are one of the most recognized (and tastiest!) sour candies in the world and the fastest growing brand in the market! SUMMARY The Financial Analyst supports the SG&A and Operations groups to identify opportunities for improvement of financial results. This position reports directly to the Business Development Associate and has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with Daily & Monthly Sales Reporting. Support pricing and customer profitability analysis. Assist with daily variance reporting (direct labor, purchase price, inventory adjustments, and other manufacturing variances). Perform various month end reports and accruals. Assist auditors for year-end analysis as required. Support budget preparation and reforecast of current year plan. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree (B.S.) in accounting or a related field from a four-year college or university. Experience in Consumer Products Manufacturing is preferred. Possess the ability to learn other application software, excellent Excel and Query skill sets, and a solid conceptual understanding of A/P, Procurement, and Inventory Management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Performs basic database updates, queries and searches, and printing of documents. Experience in posting/updating opportunities on various regulatory or reporting websites. Excel proficiency is required, and Power BI experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate with co-workers and/or read instructions or written standards for production in English. Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform or learn basic mathematic skills as needed, such as basic accounting terminology.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or limited variables.
