Job Summary - Why you'll love this position
Minimum Salary:
$85,000 and up (dependent on experience) The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the candidate selected is eligible for a years-of-service pay differential, it will be added to the total compensation. A pay differential does not raise the base pay.
Job Location:
This position will be located in Jefferson City, Missouri. Why is the work you do in this position important to Missouri? The Division of Credit Unions is responsible for the chartering, oversight, and regulation of credit unions in the State of Missouri. Your contributions to this office will help ensure the preservation of integrity and safety of the credit union industry which provides high quality financial products and services to Missouri consumers. Responsibilities - What you'll do Navigate and understand credit union related laws and regulations Review the operation of state-chartered credit unions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Conduct examinations for unsafe and unsound banking practices and assess the adequacy of internal controls. Conduct financial analysis of credit unions. Responsible for determining the financial condition of credit unions. Review and evaluate policies and procedures. Evaluate loan programs for regulatory compliance as well as safety and soundness. Perform other related work as assigned. Overnight travel is required across Missouri. This position will primarily work out of the Jefferson City and St. Louis areas, while occasionally assisting the Kansas City and Springfield areas. Occasional out-of-state training is also required. Expected overnight travel will be 35-40% or up to an average of 2 weeks' travel per month. Qualifications - All you need for success Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. Related work experience can substitute for education requirement. Relevant banking/credit union experience (operations, lending, compliance, risk). Knowledge in accounting and/or finance. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Must possess a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment as well as independently. Strong time management skills to ensure effective use of time in a hybrid/remote work schedule. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Basic knowledge of credit union operations, general accounting and financial analysis. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and prepare concise written reports.
