Full Job Description Overview:

SVP, Mortgage Operations Functions Supervised:
Mortgage Underwriting, Credit Policy, and Production Support Primary Functions:
Responsible for development of credit policy, quality loan decisions and performance requirements of underwriting, and production support staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all mortgage underwriting functions. Train, develop, supervise, and conduct performance evaluations and other personnel actions for all subordinates. Oversee all mortgage production support functions. Train, develop, supervise, and conduct performance evaluations and other personnel actions for all subordinates. Supervise mortgage credit policy staff and manage daily workflow related to product development, credit policy communications, and product training. Work with Mortgage and Real Estate managers and executives to develop and implement credit policies and portfolio loan underwriting guidelines. Underwrite mortgage loans for executive employee loans, as needed, in compliance with established policies and requirements; serve as a delegated or direct-endorsement underwriter and SAR appraisal reviewer within the requirements established by the investor, insurer or guarantor. Work closely with Mortgage Operations and Global Credit Union Home Loans management to insure staff is aware of and following all established program and policy requirements of each investor and/or agency and insurer. Act as a resource to both underwriting and production staff and provide information regarding changes to investor and/or guarantor policies and procedures. Work closely with the Mortgage and RE Lending Compliance team to ensure all Global Credit Union mortgage credit policies meet current regulatory compliance requirements. Maintain a current knowledge of existing laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, policies and procedures pertaining to real estate and mortgage lending. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or management with advanced industry courses in real estate lending including knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations. Creditable Experience in
Lieu of Education:
At least five years management/supervisory experience and at least five years experience in underwriting with at least ten years of relevant experience. Advanced industry courses in real estate lending recommended.
Experience/Skills:
Must have five years experience in mortgage underwriting including conventional, FHA, VA, RD and/or specialty program underwriting. Prefer an active DE CHUMS and SAR number and a minimum of five years management/supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to train staff. Must be familiar with all investor guidelines. Working experience with DU, LP and GUS underwriting systems preferred.

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.
Salary Pay Range:
04 : $117,016 - $208,794 annually
