  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and oversee the organization's accounting functions.
This pivotal role involves managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in corporate, governmental, and non-profit, Tribal accounting practices, with a strong foundation in technical accounting principles and financial analysis. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in guiding financial strategies, mentoring team members, and ensuring accurate financial statement preparation aligned with GAAP standards. Duties Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting operations, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation. Lead the preparation of financial statements, reports, and regulatory filings with precision and adherence to applicable standards such as GAAP. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Conduct cash flow analysis, bank reconciliations, and budgeting activities to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and maintain internal controls for financial reporting accuracy. Supervise month-end and year-end closing procedures, including audit preparations and coordination with external auditors. Mentor and develop finance staff by providing guidance on technical accounting Utilize accounting software Perform detailed financial analysis to interpret financial reports and support forecasting efforts. Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met accurately and on time. Ability to perform tasks in person at the office Skills Extensive knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX compliance, and regulatory standards. Proficiency in accounting software Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, accrual accounting, and journal entries. Experience with non-profit/Tribal accounting practices as well as governmental accounting frameworks. Demonstrated ability to mentor finance teams effectively while fostering professional development. Excellent analytical skills with the capacity for financial report writing and interpretation. Proven expertise in balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Knowledge of tax experience related to corporate finance or private equity is advantageous. Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities.
