Job DescriptionJob Description Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting support, compliance activities, financial analysis, and internal controls. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, managing audits, preparing forecasts, and delivering actionable financial insights to leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, leadership capability, and strategic financial analysis experience.Key Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities:
- Manage financial statement preparation, month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis, trend analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Support annual operating and capital budget planning
- Prepare financial dashboards, KPI reports, and management summaries
- Evaluate financial impact of business initiatives and operational changes
- Coordinate audits and maintain internal controls and compliance standards
- Drive process improvements in financial systems and reporting workflows
- Partner with leadership teams to support financial and operational strategies
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, including performance management and professional development
- Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and oversight to the accounting team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and HR teams
- Maintain strong internal controls, accounting procedures, and compliance standards
- Support workforce education, engagement, and team development initiatives
- Represent the Finance department in meetings and organizational communications
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Participate in strategic planning, resource allocation, and operational improvement initiatives
- Support workforce and resource allocation strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Participate in root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives
- Leverage financial and operational data to support efficiency improvements and decision-making
- Support leadership with long-term financial planning and operational excellence initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 4 years of accounting or finance experience required
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems, financial modeling, and reporting tools
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Healthcare industry experience and knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations is a plus
