Accounting Manager Birmingham, AL (Onsite Downtown) $48-52/hour We're partnering with a Birmingham-based company to identify an Interim Accounting Manager - This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, and providing insight to support business decisions. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys a hands-on role in a fast-paced, evolving environment . Key Responsibilities Oversee month-end close , including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Manage core accounting functions: AP, AR, and general ledger Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements Lead and support the accounting team, providing guidance and oversight Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency Perform financial analysis , including forecasting and cost analysis Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or Master's preferred) 6+ years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills This is an immediate need for a consultant who can step in quickly, provide leadership, and help ensure stability across the accounting function.
