Job Description

Helen R. Walton Children's Enrichment Center (HWCEC) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Finance Manager to join our leadership team. This position plays a key role in supporting the financial operations and long-term sustainability of our nationally recognized early childhood education nonprofit organization. The Finance Manager will support budgeting, financial reporting, grant tracking, payroll coordination, compliance, and overall fiscal operations while working closely with the Executive Director, leadership team, external auditors, and financial consultants. Essential Responsibilities Assist with organizational budgeting and financial planning Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting documentation Monitor grant expenditures and ensure compliance with funding requirements Support payroll processing and benefits administration Manage accounts payable and receivable functions Reconcile accounts and assist with monthly financial close processes Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and external partners Maintain financial records and support internal controls Assist leadership with financial analysis and operational planning Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial policies and procedures Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent credit hours in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 3 years of financial management or accounting experience required Nonprofit and/or grant management experience required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience working collaboratively across departments and leadership teams Why Join HWCEC?
