Accounting Manager at Robert Half in Osceola, Arkansas, United States Job Description Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations in Arkansas. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented candidate who can oversee the general ledger, guide the monthly close process, and help maintain accurate financial reporting in a collaborative work environment. The right candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and a leadership style that supports team cohesion and accountability.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycle to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Oversee general ledger activity and review accounting records for completeness, consistency, and compliance.
• Prepare and approve journal entries while maintaining appropriate supporting documentation.
• Lead account reconciliation efforts and resolve discrepancies across balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Coordinate audit preparation activities and serve as a key contact for financial statement audit requests.
• Review financial results and identify issues, trends, or variances that require follow-up or correction.
• Support the accounting team by establishing priorities, providing guidance, and promoting strong internal controls.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen accounting processes and maintain reliable financial information. Requirements
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Strong background in month-end close and general ledger management.
• Experience preparing journal entries and performing detailed account reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of financial statement audits and audit support procedures.
• Ability to analyze financial data accurately and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented culture.
