$125k - $165k (Potential Flex) + $20k bonus + 3 weeks PTO + 401k matching + 100% covered healthcare premiums covered by employer Overview A professional services organization supporting complex, multi-entity clients is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead client engagements, develop teams, and deliver high?quality accounting and financial reporting solutions. This role carries meaningful ownership over client outcomes, team performance, and process improvement, with broad visibility and influence. Managers in this role are hands?on leaders-trusted by clients and internal stakeholders alike. In addition to overseeing technical accounting work and client relationships, Managers actively engage in execution, stepping in as needed to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and high service standards. This position combines leadership, technical depth, and operational rigor in a fast?moving environment. Key Responsibilities Lead a portfolio of complex client entities, partnering closely with client leadership and internal teams Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members to support growth, engagement, and performance Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership Oversee and review complex accounting and operational transactions with a high degree of accuracy Manage month?end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial review Apply deep technical accounting expertise, including U.S. GAAP, to ensure compliance and accuracy Lead and contribute to process improvements, including adoption of new tools and systems Manage multi-entity consolidations within ERP and accounting systems Coordinate with external auditors to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance Ensure adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and internal performance expectations Support leadership with ad hoc projects outside of standard close cycles What Success Looks Like Trusted, value?driven relationships with senior client leadership High?performing teams capable of managing increasing complexity independently Accurate, consistent, and on?time delivery across a portfolio of client entities Scalable processes that improve efficiency and support growth All assigned entities closed on schedule and maintained at audit?ready standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA required or plan to obtain within one year of start Minimum of 4 years of recent public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) or equivalent complex corporate accounting experience Strong command of U.S. GAAP and internal controls Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office tools Strong technology aptitude and interest in leveraging systems to improve processes Experience with ERP systems; exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central is a plus Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
