You'll play a key role in shaping financial strategy, driving budgeting decisions, and advising executives at the highest level. Why This Role Stands Out Direct exposure to C-suite executives and Board members Strategic partnership with the Finance Director-not just a support role Opportunity to build and shape a brand-new position Clear path to expanded leadership and influence Join a stable, collaborative culture with long-tenured professionals What You'll Do Partner closely with the Finance Director to drive budgeting, accounting, and strategic financial initiatives Prepare and deliver board-level presentations and executive insights Confidently tackle complex financial and operational questions Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis efforts Mentor and grow a small team (1-2 direct reports over time) Leverage ERP systems (Deltek preferred, others welcomed) What You Bring CPA (required) Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus) 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance Proven experience presenting to senior leadership and Boards Strong executive presence-you're confident, articulate, and influential Leadership mindset with prior supervisory experience Background in government environments = major plus Culture & Work Style A collaborative, mission-driven organization that values teamwork Strong culture of tenure, trust, and connection In-office first 6 months to build relationships and ramp up Transition to hybrid (3 days remote) after in-office training and ramp up Compensation $115K - $145K+ base (flexible for the right candidate) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
