The University of Arizona is seeking a Financial Analysis Manager II. Reporting directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director/CFO, the Financial Analysis Manager II will be responsible for meeting the Athletics Department's complex financial reporting requirements. The Athletics Department is required to compile and complete numerous daily, monthly, and yearly financial reports that satisfy internal and external constituents, including, but not limited to: Federal EADA Report, NCAA/AUP Report, unrelated business income tax report, gift/endowment reports, Board of Regents Report, and other reports as required by the Athletics Department and the University. This position will also serve as a research analyst within the Athletics Business Office. The position researches and develops information systems to support peer comparisons with the department, its programs, and personnel; conducts complex research and analyses beginning with raw data; and prepares recommendations for short-term financial planning for the Athletics Department. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and travel as needed. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Duties & Responsibilities Design and build reporting tools that will aid in management of the reporting team to ensure the completion of daily, monthly, and yearly financial reports that satisfy internal and external constituents including, but not limited to: Federal EADA Report, NCAA/AUP Report, NCAA Bowl Report, unrelated business income tax, gift and endowment reports, and other reports as required by the Athletics Department and the University. Serve as the primary liaison to external auditors (NCAA, Campus, Outside Auditors) and the University's financial reporting office. This will require responding to periodic inquiries and ensure backup documentation accompanies all financial reports and auditor responses. Partner with administrators and leadership to execute the goals and values of the department. Oversee preparation and analyses of financial structure; forecasting, and short and/or long-term financial planning for the Arizona Athletic Department. Develop and implement policies and training for staff ensuring procedures are followed, goals are attainable, and processes guide a financial plan that is sustainable. Adapt departmental plans addressing resources and operational challenges. Create and influence operating policies; contributing to policy development. Research, strategize, and develop information systems to support peer comparisons with Arizona Athletics; oversee a team of analysts that will conduct complex research and analyses beginning with raw data. Establish relationships with peer institutions, collect data, develop appropriate archives, and publish reports and applications to provide peer comparison information to executive administration. Oversee department planning and serves as consultant to external and internal groups. Hire, supervise, and train staff in performing daily responsibilities. Set attainable goals and create a plan for success for each position reporting to this individual. Oversee daily performance to ensure responsibilities are done in a timely manner. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and the Senior Associate AD/CFO, which may consist of high levels of importance within the department and institution. Partner with leadership to recommend solutions and oversee the implementation of programs and initiatives. Budget accountability. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required. Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience, including 2 years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy . Preferred Qualifications Master of Business Administration in Data Analytics degree. Experience working in a college or university athletics department. Experience conducting financial analysis and interpreting complex data. Experience handling sensitive financial information with a high level of professionalism. Experience communicating complex financial information in clear terms. Experience preparing, reviewing, or analyzing financial reports requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
