Anaheim, CA (on-site) About Us Accurate Laminated Products is a well-established provider of high-quality cabinetry and millwork for the office construction industry. Headquartered in Anaheim, CA, we partner with general contractors on projects for office buildings, medical offices, banks and industrial facilities. We value craftsmanship, accuracy, and strong client relationships. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller or Senior Accountant to manage all accounting functions and provide timely, actionable financial reporting. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone comfortable in a small-to-midsize construction-related company who can own month-end close, construction billing, and tax preparation. Key Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle accounting in
QuickBooks:
AP, AR, payroll coordination, and general ledger upkeep- Prepare construction billing including retention schedules and progress/final billings
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and cash management
- Close the books monthly and prepare month-end journal entries
- Produce monthly financial statements: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow analysis with commentary
- Lead quarterly/annual tax preparation support and coordinate with external tax advisors
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
- Assist budgeting, forecasting, and job profitability analysis
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Support audits and respond to contractor/client inquiries as needed Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred for Controller)
- 4+ years accounting experience; 6+ years preferred for Controller-level
- Strong QuickBooks experience (Online or Desktop)
- Construction accounting experience, including retention and job-costing
- Solid knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, able to work independently and manage deadlines Preferred
- Experience with construction billing software or job-costing systems
- Prior experience working with general contractors or in commercial millwork/cabinetry What We Offer
