Job Description

Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Finance Manager will play a critical role in driving the ABTV West's growth strategies and operational execution through strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally. The Finance Manager will help create & maintain scalable FP&A processes, evolve high-quality reporting, and partner with technical leadership to ensure revenues and spending are aligned with corporate priorities. This position is also benefit eligible including: medical, dental and vision insurance (effective the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment), 401K eligibility; employee contributions after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment. Additional perks include paid holidays, sick days, paid time off and more. The expected salary for this position can range from $125,000 to $150,000 with final offers determined by factors such as relevant experience and skills.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities: Develop a monthly reconciliation of Affiliate (linear), DTC (digital), and Advertising revenue streams related to MLB, NHL and all other programming on the network Assist in developing and maintaining tools for tracking key event expense categories and providing variance analysis where applicable. Work with various departments to improve financial acumen and expense management. Collaborate with various departments and finance/accounting team to update monthly forecasts, communicate findings, working with departments to improve forecast methods. Responsible for updating key forecast files and schedules. Perform analyses on variances and ensure consistent and accurate projections. Develop business intelligence tools and reports, to better analyze departments and improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations and sales. Analyze union labor, vendor spending, and production-based allocations to ensure accuracy, compliance with policy, and alignment with business priorities. Foster relationships between Finance and various business departments to improve communication and collaboration across the organization. Provide analysis of business and industry fluctuations and trends, profit improvement (either revenue generation and/or expense savings) and continual review of expenditures and procedures for development, implementation and monitoring of expense control strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field. 5+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting, Auditing, or similar position. Prior experience in a finance role supporting the finance department within a media, entertainment, or digital content company highly desired Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Wide Orbit and Revedia preferred, but not required.
