Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations Oversee daily accounting operations across multiple company FEINs. Manage payroll processing, deductions, payroll taxes, benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions. Oversee Accounts Receivable, invoicing, collections, and Accounts Payable functions. Perform and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain vendor records and compliance documentation. Payroll Tax & Regulatory Compliance Ensure accurate and timely payroll tax filings including 941, 940, DE9, and DE9C filings. Manage year-end reporting including W-2s, 1099s, ACA reporting, and 5500 filings. Respond to payroll tax notices and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations. Financial Reporting & Strategy Prepare financial statements and consolidated reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and company policies. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for leadership decision-making. Coordinate with auditors, CPA firms, and regulatory agencies. Leadership & Department Management Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff. Promote accountability, teamwork, and strong internal customer service. Assist with hiring, performance management, and corrective action processes. Process Improvement & Systems Develop and maintain accounting SOPs and internal controls. Identify process improvements and support accounting/payroll system optimization. Ensure accounting procedures remain compliant and efficient. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll tax compliance, and financial reporting. Experience with accounting/payroll systems and advanced Excel skills preferred.
