• Manage daily operations of the accounting department, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
• Supervise, train, and support accounting staff.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls. Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making.

Construction / Job

Cost Accounting

• Set up and maintain job cost structures for new projects.
• Track job costs, process invoices, and monitor expenses.
• Partner with project managers on budgets and forecasts.
• Review project budgets and cost allocations.
• Investigate variances and report findings.
• Oversee project billings and client invoicing. Payroll & Vendor Management
• Manage payroll for employees and contractors.
• Ensure accurate vendor payments.
• Maintain vendor and client relationships. Skills & Competencies
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Ability to create financial models preferred.
• Construction accounting and job costing expertise.
• Advanced Excel and QuickBooks skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Leadership and team development abilities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role preferred.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Expert in Quickbooks
• Buildertrend experience preferred but not required.
