Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager for a thriving retail company in Corona, CA . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is ready to step into a Controller-level role in the near future. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree , strong operational accounting experience, advanced IT and systems skills , and a background working with companies generating more than $30M in revenue .

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in compliance with GAAP Manage and improve the month-end and year-end close process Supervise and mentor accounting staff while remaining hands-on in day-to-day accounting functions Analyze financial results and provide reporting and insights to leadership Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures Partner cross-functionally with operations and other departments to support business objectives Assist with system improvements, process automation, and ERP optimization Support external audits and tax-related requests Contribute to strategic initiatives and be prepared to grow into a Controller position

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Previous experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant ready for the next step Retail industry experience strongly preferred Hands-on accounting experience required Strong IT and systems skills, including ERP systems and advanced Excel Experience working for companies with annual revenue exceeding $30M required Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls Proven ability to lead while also being involved in the details Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
