The Accounting Manager (Contract until Oct, 2026) leads and supports month?end and year?end close activities, financial analysis, and reporting while contributing to the ongoing transformation of accounting and shared service processes. This role partners closely with business operations to streamline end?to?end processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure compliance with strong internal control standards. The position also supports accounting transformation initiatives and system enhancements within an established internal controls framework.

M-F 8-5pm
Pay:
$100-$140/Hour DOE Key Responsibilities Lead the month?end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, coordination of work assignments, and review of team deliverables Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results prior to senior?level review Prepare and/or review complex accounting analyses, including accruals, reserves, revenue, cost allocations, and fixed assets Serve as the first level of quality control before matters are escalated to senior leadership Prepare account reconciliations; investigate variances and resolve reconciling items Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by staff, providing detailed feedback and guidance to ensure compliance with accounting standards Prepare high?quality financial analyses and management commentary Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP) Lead accounting projects end?to?end, including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and follow?up to ensure timely completion Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key accounting processes Create training materials and documentation to support onboarding and cross?training Support ERP system enhancements and upgrades, including testing activities Lead revenue recognition initiatives and ensure reporting accuracy Maintain productive working relationships and demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions Perform other duties consistent with the scope and objectives of the role as assigned Required Qualifications 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred) Bachelor's degree in Accounting Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Demonstrated experience leading and implementing process improvements Ability to consistently meet deadlines with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of employees and external auditors Excellent critical thinking and problem?solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications ERP system experience (SAP preferred) Audit experience Data visualization or reporting tool experience (e.g., Tableau) Familiarity with AI?enabled tools or process automation Master's degree in
