Job Description:

An established and growing law firm is seeking a senior Tax Counsel to join its Taxation, Trusts & Estates practice. This role offers exposure to complex, high value matters and, for a strong candidate, the potential to take on a leadership position within the practice group. It is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys mentoring junior attorneys, collaborating across practice areas, and contributing to the strategic growth of a dynamic tax team.

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on the tax aspects of complex corporate and partnership transactions. Support strategic and private equity M&A transactions, including structuring and execution. Provide guidance on domestic and international tax planning matters. Assist with private equity fund formation and related structuring considerations. Counsel clients on capital markets transactions, financings, and restructurings. Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, finance, and private client teams. Participate in shaping the strategic direction and growth of the Taxation, Trusts & Estates group.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years' experience in tax law, ideally within a sophisticated law firm environment. Strong background in corporate and partnership tax, including transactional work. Experience advising on private equity, fund formation, and cross-border tax matters. Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters and work collaboratively across teams. LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
