Why This Role Stands Out Defined career path toward Senior Manager and Director Highly flexible environment built on autonomy, trust, and communication Strong internal structure with review support, documentation, and shared resources Collaborative team culture, regular team events, and ongoing training/CPE Competitive benefits including approximately 7 weeks PTO, fully covered health insurance, 401(k) match, and additional perks Typical peak workload: 40-55 hours per week What You Will Do Manage and execute accounting and finance activities across multiple clients Lead month?end close processes, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Support and review technical accounting analyses and operational accounting tasks Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other FP&A responsibilities Support SOX compliance, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives Oversee day?to?day engagement delivery and ensure high?quality work product Serve as a direct point of contact for client leadership and provide consultative guidance Mentor and provide direction to Associates and Senior Associates What You Bring Active CPA license Big 4 audit or advisory experience strongly preferred 5-8 years of total accounting experience Experience with life sciences, biotech, or technology companies is a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted client relationships Collaborative, resourceful, and comfortable working independently when needed Interest in developing others and contributing to a high?performing team Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
