Accounting Manager (Mandarin Chinese Required)
The ideal candidate has strong restaurant or hospitality accounting experience, understands high-volume multi-unit operations, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Salary $90,000 - $105,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for the annual incentive plan based on individual and company performance. Benefits Competitive Pay Employer Contribution for individuals medical insurance 401(k) Plan with company match Paid Time Off (PTO) to support work-life balance Job Responsibilities Financial & Accounting Operations Manage daily accounting operations for multiple restaurant locations Oversee general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, P&L reports, balance sheets, and cash flow reports Monitor labor costs, food costs, prime costs, and operational expenses Reconcile POS systems, third-party delivery platforms, merchant accounts, and bank deposits Ensure accurate recording of sales, tips, discounts, gift cards, and inventory adjustments Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversee vendor payments and maintain strong vendor relationships Review invoices, expense reports, and payment schedules Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions Payroll & Compliance Coordinate payroll processing with HR/payroll providers Ensure compliance with California wage and hour laws, sales tax regulations, and accounting standards Assist with audits, tax filings, business licenses, and regulatory reporting Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures to minimize risk Budgeting & Analysis Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Analyze operational trends and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting Team & System Management Supervise and support accounting staff or bookkeepers Help improve accounting systems, workflows, and reporting processes Work closely with operations, HR, and executive leadership teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurant, hospitality, or retail industries CPA Experience managing multi-unit restaurant accounting strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with POS systems, payroll systems, and accounting software Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Experience with restaurant inventory and cost control analysis Familiarity with California labor compliance and restaurant operations Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States. Mandarin Chinese(spoken and written) is a bonus but not required.
