Job Description

JOB DUTIES
Description The Department Finance Manager reports to the Department Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), and is a strategic leadership position in the Department, critical to the development and implementation of the Department's short- and long-range strategic plans and direction. The Finance Manager manages all fund groups within the department including Clinical Revenue, Contracts and Grants, Sales and Service, Gifts and Endowments, and Other Funds.
Salary Range:
$95,400 - $208,300 Annually
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Prior leadership experience in academic healthcare setting strongly preferred. 5 plus years of progressive experience in financial management roles. 5 plus years of experience managing a finance department. Fund accounting experience required. Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, including basic framework of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. Expertise in fund accounting and performance metrics of research intensive health systems desirable. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a desire to understand the issues Creative problem solver that can identify sources of information from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive, balanced, and actionable insights. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Advanced Tableau or PowerBI skills preferred. Excellent customer service interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation). High level of ethics, integrity, discretion and confidentiality. Demonstrated experience as an effective team leader and supervisor.

Master's Degree in Finance
