Job Description

Robert Half Madison is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead all finance and accounting operations for a construction company on the east side. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for both transactional accounting and strategic financial oversight. Preferred experience will include strong construction accounting experience, including a deep understanding of AIA billing. For consideration, please apply with your most up to date resume and call 608-716-5643!ResponsibilitiesOversee the full finance and accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Manage and review AIA billing processes, ensuring accurate application billing, lien waiver support, and timely customer invoicing.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and provide leadership with meaningful analysis on company performance, job profitability, and cash flow.

Partner with project managers and operational leaders to monitor project costs, budgets, work-in-progress schedules, and contract performance.

Maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and support external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements.

Lead cash management, forecasting, and budgeting efforts while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and support business growth.
