Our app provides millions with financial services that help them avoid debt, manage their finances, and regain flexibility to pay for things on their own schedule. Payactiv is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and scale the Finance function for a multi-million-dollar business partnership. This role requires a proven leader with experience overseeing globally distributed, cross-functional teams, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, including direct interaction with clients and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving both strategic and operational initiatives to improve collection rates, reduce loss exposure, enhancing processes, and supporting business objectives within a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Director of Finance and is based in our Milpitas, CA office. What you will do… Team Leadership & Strategic Collaboration Lead, mentor, and scale a finance operations team of 7+ professionals across U.S. and offshore locations Drive initiatives to minimize disbursement losses Oversee development of analytical models and strategies to identify high-risk customer segments and improve financial performance Partner closely with leaders across Client Support, Risk & Fraud, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Finance to support strategic initiatives Process Improvement & Operational Excellence Design and improve scalable operational processes and internal controls to maximize account receivable collection rate Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives across finance operations workflows Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and operational infrastructure Monitor operational performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Analytics & Business Insights Lead analysis of operational and financial data to identify trends, risk drivers, and performance opportunities Translate analytical insights into actionable business strategies and operational improvements Oversee reporting related to collections performance, losses, and operational KPIs Communication & Stakeholder Management Communicate effectively with executives, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders Support client engagement efforts related to operational escalations, collections, and recovery initiatives What you need… 5+ years of experience in finance operations, fintech, collections, or risk analytics An advanced degree (MBA, Engineering, Data Science) is preferred Experience managing and developing professional teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams Ability to manage complex operational processes in a fast-paced environment Power user in Excel and big data tools (e.g., Python Pandas, SQL, etc.) Excellent communication and leadership skills What we offer… Company sponsored Health, Dental, and Vision insurance 401K, traditional, and Roth with a company match Tuition Assistance or Tuition Reimbursement Unlimited Paid Time off Monthly Gym Reimbursement Paid time off to volunteer Paid Family Leave Complimentary lunches onsite Opportunity to grow Opportunity to work with a great team committed to making a difference.
