Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee the daily financial operations of our organization in Roseville, California. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing effective internal controls. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and supporting leadership in strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash receipts.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial reports, including monthly reconciliations, expenditure tracking, and board meeting documentation.
  • Lead fiscal year-end close activities and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address financial matters and maintain accurate accounts.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls over revenue streams generated through events such as parking, rentals, and food services.
  • Manage cash handling processes, including deposits and check writing, ensuring proper recognition of revenue and expenses.
  • Develop and enhance financial procedures, systems, and internal controls to optimize efficiency and performance.
  • Train staff to utilize financial software effectively and identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
  • Monitor cash flow and investment balances while preparing accurate cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable federal and state regulations. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with supervisory experience being a plus.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft 365 applications, with advanced expertise in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Reliable, punctual, and accountable, with a track record of success.
