Job Description
Description Steven Lahey with Robert Half is seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounting Manager to join our client in a mostly in-office role. This position will oversee core accounting functions, ensure financial integrity, and lead process improvements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong technical accounting expertise. Key Responsibilities + Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable + Manage and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes + Prepare and review financial statements and internal reports + Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies + Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback + Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy + Coordinate audits and act as a primary liaison with external auditors + Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements + Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required + 5+ years of accounting experience preferred, with progressive responsibility + Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting + Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work on-site full-time Preferred Skills + CPA or CPA-eligible is a plus + Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) + Background in a corporate or public accounting environment + Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
