Full Job Description Finance & HR Manager Location:
Valencia, CA Schedule:
Full-Time, Onsite (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM) Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Finance & HR Manager to oversee accounting, payroll, human resources, and administrative operations for our growing manufacturing company. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability. They are highly organized, proactive, and tech-savvy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring financial records, payroll data, employee information, and business communications are accurate, complete, and timely. They thrive in a fast-paced small business environment and consistently follow through on commitments without letting important details fall through the cracks. This role works closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, and Leadership teams to support day-to-day business operations. This position supervises one direct report (Senior Accountant/Payroll Analyst).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and General Ledger activities. Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial reports. Review Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets for accuracy. Support cash flow tracking, revenue forecasting, and financial reporting. Coordinate with external accountants and tax advisors. Assist with sales tax filings, 1099 reporting, and compliance activities. Payroll & Human Resources Serve as the primary administrator for ADP, including payroll processing, employee maintenance, reporting, onboarding, and benefits administration. Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and California labor laws. Maintain employee records and HR documentation. Support recruiting, onboarding, workers' compensation, leave administration, and employee relations activities. Leadership & Operations Supervise and support one Senior Accountant/Payroll Analyst. Partner with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and operational efficiency. Track deadlines, follow up on open items, and help drive accountability across departments. Support inventory reconciliation, job costing, and ERP-related reporting. Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting accuracy. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of accounting, payroll, HR, or business operations experience in a small or mid-sized company environment. Minimum 2 years of hands-on ADP payroll administration experience. Strong understanding of bookkeeping, payroll, financial statements, and business operations. Working knowledge of payroll taxes, sales tax, and 1099 reporting. Experience working effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders. Strong Excel, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Manufacturing experience. Experience with QuickBooks Experience with JobBOSS2, Bill.com, or similar ERP/accounting systems. Experience with ADP Run or Workforce Now. Experience with Timekeeping system Prior supervisory or team lead experience.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
