Job Description:
Overview The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day accounting operations and ensures accurate financial reporting for a fast-paced technology organization. This role manages the accounting team, strengthens internal controls, and partners with cross-functional departments such as FP&A, Operations, and Engineering to support strategic financial decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll review, and month-end close. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Manage annual audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax partners. Support budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate financial data and insights. Develop and mentor accounting staff; oversee workload, training, and performance. Implement and optimize accounting systems and automation tools (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, or similar). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations for product launches, vendor agreements, and company initiatives. Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial KPIs to support leadership decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 1-3 years in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of GAAP. Experience with modern accounting and ERP systems. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-growing tech environment.
