Accounting Manager Job Duties:
- Review accounts payable and mortgage statements.
- Review the General Ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense allocation.
- Review financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow).
- Manage and review the entire month- end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Review and execute management fees.
- Review monthly variance analysis report.
- Oversee tax compliance (sales tax, property tax)
- Review depreciation and amortization of fixed assets, tenant improvements, and leasing commissions.
- Assist property managers with all revenue questions and issues that may arise.
- Oversee the renewal of business insurance policies.
- Review 1099s
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or commercial property.
- Experience with MRI, Yardi and AvidXchange system
- Strong analytical skills
