The Manager of Accounting and Finance will be responsible for leading the month end close process, preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, leading and preparing external and internal financial reporting, updating quarterly forecasts and other day-to-day accounting processes, all while maintaining and documenting financial controls.Essential Job Duties and Functions:
Own and manage the monthly and quarterly close process. Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial results through timely close processes, adherence to accounting policies, and collaboration across departments. Own and manage the monthly R D accrual process, collaborating closely with departmental teams to ensure accurate and timely recognition of outsourced research and development expenses. Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls and GAAP. Lead the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analyses and forecast-to-actual results for management and business partners. Lead the preparation of SEC filings (e.g., 10-Q and 10-K), including preparation of supporting schedules and footnotes, in coordination with the management, legal counsel and external auditors. Be the primary point of contact for certain audit requests, including compiling audit support documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors. Maintain documentation and support for internal control processes in compliance with SOX or similar regulatory frameworks, ensuring best practices in financial operations. Support the corporate budgeting and forecasting cycles by partnering with cross-functional teams to provide timely actuals, accrual inputs, variance analysis and updates to forecast spend Manage and monitor procurement-related accounting activities, including review and approval of purchase requisitions, invoices, and purchase order tracking to ensure proper accounting treatment. Evaluate, maintain and improve systems and processes to support scalable growth, including assisting in the implementation and enhancement of financial reporting, procurement, and budgeting systems. Develop, monitor, and report financial and operational performance metrics to inform decision-making and improve financial visibility. Provide accounting guidance to internal stakeholders related to procurement, R D spend, contract structure, and budget variances, highlighting risks and opportunities. Identify opportunities for process improvement, increased automation, and cross-functional efficiency within the finance function and lead or assist in those improvements. Collaborate with internal G&A and R D teams to support business initiatives and ensure alignment with financial policies and goals. Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization, acting as a trusted partner to business functions while upholding financial integrity and compliance. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives related to the Company's potential product commercialization, including financial planning, operational readiness, and compliance support. Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies; safe work practices; and company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.Essential Job Duties and Functions:
BS in Accounting or Finance CPA license preferred, but not required. 5+ years of growing responsibility experience in public accounting, preferably in Pharma/Biotech environment Strong knowledge of US GAAP and complex accounting issues Knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP preferred, but not required. Knowledge of Coupa or similar procurement systems preferred, but not required. Knowledge of Shareworks or similar equity management systems preferred, but not required. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft excel and strong ability to efficiently navigate systems involved in the financial process. Experience working in a SOX controlled environment. Experience conducting internal & external audits. Experience with flux analysis and SEC reporting Salary range: $120,000-$150,000 title and salary commensurate with experienceOur Benefits:
