Manager, Inventory Reporting

The Manager of Accounting is a member of the Finance leadership team and responsible for Inventory Accounting, process and procedures for all of our brands. The position reports to the Sr. Manager of Accounting who oversees all Inventory Accounting for HelloFresh, EveryPlate, Factor, Green Chef and GoodChop and closely collaborates with our FP&A, Data & Finance Operations, Treasury, and Tax teams. You have the technical background but are also a great team leader that chaperones the development of the Accounting team through our continued growth phase and collaborates closely with other business functions to improve financial processes. You will … Act as a subject matter expert on costing and inventory treatment of accounting transactions and related financial reporting requirements, explore and offer solutions and best practices. Manage and develop a team to work efficiently and effectively on reporting needs. Manage the inventory monthly close function, ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records, and administer a strict timeline Develop a strong understanding of the available data and data sources and provide analysis of the potential risks for each and help create solutions. Coordinate and drive inventory valuation and assist month-end close and financial reporting for inventory accounts. Support reporting requirements including audit schedules, quarter-end, and year-end month-end closing tasks. Maintain relationships with business partners including working closely with the FP&A and Operational functions to increase transparency on business performance and support cost control. Assist in special projects or requested cost analysis. Your qualities... Must have consumer products/manufacturing experience with standard costing. Data driven and curious to find and develop better practices. Thorough understanding of supply chain, receiving, inventory flow, operations process, and cost accounting principles. Able to work comfortably under pressure and work towards tight deadlines. A strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. Drive to continuously improve and build processes. Highly advanced Excel and data organization skills Ability to resolve escalated issues from the team. At a minimum, you have... >5 years of combined experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting functions, CPA is required. 2+ years of managing experience Substantive quantitative skills and proficiency in Excel. Strong technical accounting background; knowledge of IFRS is a strong plus. Experience in fast-growth environments and/or inventory-based E-Commerce businesses preferred. New York Pay Range $111,000 — $124,850 USD Colorado Pay Range $103,700 — $116,650 USD
