Job DescriptionJob Description Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Colorado is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee key accounting functions, including audit reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, expense tracking, and financial process accuracy. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, numbers-focused, comfortable working with accounting and payroll systems, and able to serve as a reliable resource for accounting, payroll, AP, and AR questions. The Accounting Manager will also provide back-up support to the Payroll Lead to help ensure payroll accuracy, continuity, and compliance. Key Responsibilities The Accounting Manager will be responsible for supporting and managing accounting operations, including: Leading audit-related reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation. Overseeing accounts payable processes, including vendor invoices, payments, expense tracking, and account reconciliation. Overseeing accounts receivable processes, including customer billing, payment tracking, collections support, and account review. Providing back-up support to the Payroll Lead as needed, including payroll processing, timekeeping review, commission tracking, and payroll-related reporting. Reviewing and verifying payroll-related calculations, including commissions, timekeeping adjustments, and supporting documentation. Supporting employee onboarding by ensuring payroll and employee information is entered and maintained accurately in the payroll system. Serving as a resource for accounting-related questions involving AP, AR, payroll expenses, and general expense tracking. Running reports and reviewing financial data to identify discrepancies, missing documentation, or process issues. Working closely with management, payroll, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Helping ensure employee records, payroll data, commissions, customer accounts, vendor records, and accounting information are accurate and up to date. Maintaining confidentiality with employee, payroll, vendor, customer, and financial information. Supporting month-end, year-end, audit preparation, and other accounting overview tasks as needed. Helping improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls. Qualifications Prior accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, AP, AR, or administrative finance experience required. Previous experience in an accounting management or accounting lead role preferred. Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Experience with QuickBooks Online required. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, data review, and reporting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable running reports, reviewing calculations, reconciling accounts, and identifying discrepancies. Ability to manage confidential information professionally. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. ServiceTitan experience is helpful but not required. Ability to work independently while also supporting a team environment. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is trustworthy, detail-oriented, organized, and confident working with financial information.
